Super Cubicle Adventure prototype build


Super Cubicle Adventure - player is in a swivel chair that controls like minigolf - push off with feet to slide. Plot - you're an IT worker in a cubicle bouncing around floors of an office, fixing computers without leaving your swivel chair.  

Sketch of basic idea:

Prototyping it: started with a simple red ball; it moves away from the spot you click on, going faster if you click closer. Doesn't bounce off the walls, so it tends to get stuck in corners right now

Enabled bounce physics and took a chair mesh from Unity asset store (with collider & rigidbody disabled) that's pinned to the ball and always faces mouse cursor

Changed control method to a power bar - charge a shot and it will fly off away from your cursor. Also made it work even if the ground isn't 2d.

Testing it against objects with physics (assets taken from Unity online store)

Super early pre-pre alpha build, but you can see the direction we're going in!
